In 1858, Ferdinand Weise and his wife took a leap of faith by investing their last savings into a hand-operated lace-making machine, setting up a modest workshop at a rented site in Pegau, Saxony.
Through tireless dedication, they transformed that single machine into a thriving operation. Their hard work paid off, and by 1869 they had purchased the site, expanding their machinery and broadening their product line.
“What began with two determined hearts and a single machine grew into a global enterprise.”
As the business grew, so did its reach. Weise-branded goods were shipped daily to branches in Hamburg, Leipzig, Berlin, Bucharest, and Shanghai, reaching customers around the globe.
Ferdinand and his wife exemplified how great things can flourish from humble beginnings when built on collaboration and dedication. Their story continues to guide our approach today.
